The New Brunswick Development Corp. recently held a ceremony at which it donated a Scarlet Knight statue to The Yard @ College Avenue, a mixed-use development at the foot of the Rutgers University campus.

Devco President Chris Paladino, a Rutgers alumnus, said the organization donated the 8-foot, 900-pound statue as a way to try to bring Scarlet Knights together.

The Yard @ College Avenue, which opened last year, is a 14-story, U-shaped building consisting of 160 apartment units and 25,000 square feet of public green space and a 480-square-foot outdoor LED screen.

According to Devco, over 8,000 students use the bus stop at The Yard every day.
