Gov. Murphy, Other Officials Set to Attend Cancer Pavilion Groundbreaking in New Brunswick

Gov. Phil Murphy, Senate President Stephen Sweeney and Speaker Craig Coughlin are expected to be on hand next week for the groundbreaking ceremony for the state’s first free-standing cancer hospital.
Mayor Jim Cahill, Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway, RWJ Barnabas Health President and CEO Barry Ostrowsky, Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald Rios and New Brunswick Development Corporation president Chris Paladino are also scheduled to take part in the event on June 24 at 11 a.m.
The 11-story, 519,000-square foot Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Cancer Pavilion is the centerpiece of a $750 million project that will transform the Somerset Street health care corridor.
