The new Academic Building provides approximately 2,500 seats of innovative instructional space for the University, accommodating 20,000 undergraduate students daily. It has a range of classroom styles from 300-person lecture halls to 20-person seminar rooms. It features state-of-the-art teaching technology from Active Learning Classrooms to computer labs and learning centers. Galleries located throughout the building provide students with opportunities for collaborative study and work. The surrounding landscape offers a variety of green and public spaces for students, residents, faculty and visitors alike, including an expansive pedestrian passage which connects Rutgers’ historic Voorhees Mall to the northern end of the campus.
